Guardian understands that a new furniture purchase is an important decision and investment. Guardian offers Protection Plans that allow you to relax and enjoy the beauty and comfort of your new furniture without the worry of life’s little accidents.

How the Protection Plan Works*
If a covered stain or damage occurs, simply call the toll-free customer service line within 30 days of the incident. Guardian may send a cleaning kit or schedule a service technician to come to your home to provide one of the following services, all at no cost to you!

  • Professional cleaning for covered accidental stains
  • Professional repair for covered accidental damage
  • Full item replacement if unable to clean or repair

       

      Protection Plan Details*
      The Guardian Protection Plan is designed to cover accidental stains or damage that occurred from a single incident. Only the accidents listed for each plan are covered.

      Summary of Protection Plan Exclusions*

      • Any pet damage (by teeth or claws)
      • General soiling and accumulation of stains
      • Odors and unknown stains
      • Normal wear
      • Surface scratches

        Choose the Plan to Fit Your Purchase

        We offer five protection plans to cover fabric, leather, wood, adjustable bases, outdoor furniture, and area rugs. Each plan comes with complimentary Guardian Furniture Care Products to clean, protect, and maintain your new furniture!

         

        1. Fabric Upholstered Furniture Protection

        This plan is designed for customers purchasing fabric furniture only, whether a group or a single piece. With this plan you’ll receive a complimentary bottle of Guardian Fabric and Rug Cleaner Maximum Strength that carries the Safer Choice label designation in partnership with the EPA.

        Accidental Coverage Includes*

        • Food or beverage and human or pet bodily fluid stains
        • Grass, grease, ballpoint pen ink, iodine, nail polish, cosmetics, lipstick, crayon, and shoe polish stains
        • Rips, cuts, burns, or punctures from a specific incident

         

        2. 1Plan Plus Fabric, Leather, and Wood Protection

        When you are buying a combination of fabric, leather, stone, or wood furniture, this plan is your best option. With this plan you’ll receive a complimentary Guardian 1Plan Furniture Care Kit. It contains Fabric and Rug Cleaner Maximum Strength, Leather Protector, and Wood Polish. The Fabric and Rug Cleaner carries the Safer Choice label designation in partnership with the EPA. Leather Protector and Wood Polish contain an anti-static additive to help repel damaging airborne dust and dirt and an ultra-violet inhibitor to help reduce premature fading.

        Accidental Coverage Includes*

        • Food or beverage stains
        • Human or pet bodily fluid stains
        • Grass, grease, ballpoint pen ink, iodine, nail polish, cosmetics, lipstick, crayon, and shoe polish stains
        • Rips, cuts, burns, or punctures from a specific incident
        • Breakage of frames, springs, mechanisms, and reclining, inclining, heating, or vibrating functions will be covered if they were covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty that has expired

        Accidental Coverage for Wood/Hard Surface Includes*

        • Food or beverage stains, nail polish stains
        • Liquid rings, gouges, heat marks from a specific incident
        • Breakage of the wood or other hard surface from a specific incident
        • Chip, scratch, or breakage of glass or mirrors and loss of silvering on mirrors (except crowned or curved glass)
        • Checking, cracking, bubbling, or peeling of finish from a specific incident

        3. Outdoor Furniture Protection

        Take the worry out of outdoor furniture care. You’ll get the accidental coverage listed below plus a complimentary bottle of Guardian Outdoor Fabric Cleaner.

        Accidental Coverage Includes:

        • All stains to fabric or vinyl upholstered areas and umbrellas
        • Rips, cuts, punctures, or burns to fabric and vinyl areas from a specific incident
        • Breakage of glass components on tables
        • Breakage of frames and mechanisms, plus structural defects to metal frames, such as warping and frame breakage/cracking, and separation of frame components
        • Breakage of umbrella or umbrella mechanism will be covered if it was originally covered by a manufacturer’s warranty which as expired

         

        4. Adjustable Base Protection

        This plan is designed for customers purchasing an adjustable base.


        Coverage Includes:
        • Defects in materials and workmanship on frames, remotes, and these mechanisms: sleeper, reclining, inclining
        • Motors, heating, and vibrating will be covered if they were originally covered by a manufacturer’s warranty and the warranty for such damage has expired

         

        5. Area Rug Protection

        With the Area Rug Plan you’ll receive a complimentary Guardian Area Rug Care Kit with cleaners that carry the Safer Choice label designation in partnership with the EPA.


        Accidental Coverage Includes:

        • Food or beverage and human or pet bodily fluid stains
        • Grass, grease, ballpoint pen ink, iodine, nail polish, cosmetics, lipstick, crayon, and shoe polish stains

        How to Get my Protection Plan Documents

        You will receive a copy of your protection plan documents via the email address that you provided to your retailer at the time of your purchase. You may also view your documents online by visiting GuardianProducts.com and clicking on the “My Plan Documents” button. Please review the terms and conditions of your plan. If you have any questions, contact Guardian Customer Service at the number below.

         

        How to Submit a Service Request

        1. Call Customer Service or submit a claim online at gppclaims.com within 30 days if a covered stain or damage occurs.
        2. Have your itemized receipt and Plan documents in hand.
        3. Be prepared to describe the incident, including the size, location, and when and how it occurred. A photo may be requested to better assist with your service.
