For years, original Stickley waste bins have been an unexpectedly popular treasure for collectors, with antiques routinely selling for thousands of dollars at auction! This Wastebasket, a sturdy, substantial piece comprised of three-quarter-inch-thick solid oak, is a Mission re-issue based on an original design by L. & J. G. Stickley circa 1910. It features canted sides lightened by arcs at the base and carved decorative accents that also function as handles. Finished in 032 Onondaga, it's a handsome accessory alongside Mission office or living room furniture.

Who knew I would love a wastebasket!

The wastebasket was larger than I expected—which was a good thing. (I guess I didn’t check the dimensions before I purchased it—I just looked at the pictures.) I’m very pleased with it and may purchase a second one as a gift.

Thank you for reaching out Stickley Furniture. We appreciate the kind words and we hope you enjoy this item for years to come.

Not made in USA

I was really excited to receive my waste basket. I thought Stickley was made in the USA, but imagine my surprise when i looked at the bottom and the sticker says made in Vietnam. I would never have bought this if I had known that before hand. I bought my Stickley in the past for many different reason but most important because it was made in USA. That's why I gave it 4 stars would have been 5 before I discovered that.

Hi Lori, Stickley owns three of its own manufacturing facilities: Manlius, New York, our headquarters where most of our solid-wood furniture is manufactured; Archdale, North Carolina, which is our upholstery plant; and Stickley International, our factory located in Vietnam. Ownership of the three plants allows us to use the facility that is best suited for the specific product. When it comes to our smaller e-commerce items, we are able to offer them at a rate more in line with the marketplace both by crafting them in Vietnam and by offering limited finish options. We are proud to stand behind these pieces knowing they are manufactured to the same exacting Stickley standard as pieces made in Manlius and Archdale.
